About Stuart Merenbloom, Baltimore's Support Group Leader

Stuart Merenbloom is a 62 year old retired special education teacher. Stuart is married and has two adult sons. His wife of 32 years works as an instructional assistant for the Baltimore County Public Schools. Stuart had spent all of his working years in the area of developmental disabilities, working for a local ARC and then for Baltimore County Public Schools where he was a vocational evaluator, job development coordinator, work enclave teacher, as well as classroom teacher.

Stuart retired from teaching in June, 2010 due to his AS and has successfully applied for SSDI.

Stuart’s interests include music, playing the guitar when his fingers allow him, reading mystery stories, as well as cooking. His specialty is an Indian dish consisting of chickpeas, potatoes, and spices. Stuart has served as a volunteer big brother for the Jewish Big Brother League.
